“How long will this take?” is one of the first questions every homeowner asks. The honest answer is: it depends on the material, the length of your fence line, and how many gates you’re adding — but here’s a realistic breakdown of what typically happens.
Day 0: Estimate And Planning
Before any work begins, we walk the property, confirm the fence line, and go over material and style options. This is also when we check whether a permit or HOA approval is needed.
Day 1: Layout And Old Fence Removal
The crew marks post locations and, if you’re replacing an existing fence, removes and hauls away the old materials before any digging starts.
Days 2-3: Posts And Framing
Posts are set in concrete below the frost line, which needs time to begin curing before panels go on. This is usually the longest single step in the process.
Days 3-4: Panels, Pickets, And Gates
Once posts are secure, panels or pickets go up, followed by gates and hardware, fitted on-site so everything swings and latches properly.
Final Day: Walkthrough
We walk the finished fence with you, check every gate, and clean up the site. Most residential projects wrap up within two to five days total — larger or more complex properties may take longer.
